Notary Services
A notary public helps make sure documents are legitimate by checking the person signing is actually who they say they are and that they agree to sign. This can be done in person, at my home office in 77044, via mobile notary services, or via virtual notary. Please see my fee sheet for associated costs.
Identification for Notary Services
Identification must be presented at the time of service. ID must be current or issued within the last 5 years and bear a serial or ID number.

- Foreign passport, if stamped by the U.S. Department of Justice, Immigration and Naturalization Service
- Driver’s license officially issued by a Territory of the United States, another state, Mexico or Canada

Requesting Services
- Understand the type of notarial service you require
- Make sure your identification is valid.
- Make sure your identification matches your name on the document(s).
- All parties signing must be present, with valid ID.
- Understand the document you are signing.
- Documents must have all applicable blanks filled in.
- For Jurats & Affidavits, the signature line should be left blank. The notary has to witness you signing the document.

Need a notary certificate? No problem!
Here are the 5 most common certificate types:
- Acknowledgment – used when an individual is signing and acknowledging on his or her own behalf.
- Copy Certificate – to certify true copies of original documents
- Jurat – used when an individual is signing and swearing (or affirming) that certain written statements are true
- Oath – used when an individual is signing and swearing (or affirming) that certain written statements are true.
- Declaration of Authenticity: used to declare that a paper or tangible copy of an electronic record is a true and correct copy of such record.
